Joe McDaniel Field at Farris Stadium

Joe McDaniel Field at Farris Stadium, built in 1923 and located on College Street behind Sutcliffe Hall, is used for varsity and JV football, field hockey, men's and women's lacrosse, intramural football, intramural lacrosse, intramural soccer and men's and women's track.

The stadium includes an NCAA regulation football field which was re-surfaced with a synthetic turf surface in the summer of 2009. Lights, a new scoreboard, new play clocks and a net system designed to protect Sutcliffe Hall were also installed in 2009.

In addition to the football field, there is a six-lane rubberized track, which was also upgraded in 2009. The track is available for walking and running when the field is not in use. The newly renovated press box was dedicated in 2006 and named after Centre alum Herb McGuire '57.
