The Centre women's lacrosse team bounced back from a Saturday loss by soundly defeating University of Dallas 16-4 on Sunday at Farris Stadium.
Nine different Colonels scored in the win, led by Emily Madden (Louisville, Ky.), who had seven goals total and six in the first half.
After a back and forth contest on Saturday that eventually ended in a 19-18 loss to Sewanee, Centre dominated from start to finish against Dallas, scoring the first seven goals of the game and never trailing.

The Colonels added five more goals to take a 12-1 lead to halftime, then answered two early second half goals by Dallas with four more to pull ahead by as many as 13 at 16-3.
Audrey Powers (Chattanooga, Tenn.) scored twice in the game and was the only other Colonel with multiple goals. Also finding the net for Centre were Meg Hawthorne (Cary, N.C.), Maddie Baker (Louisville, Ky.), Andrea Merchak (Lexington, Ky.), Anne Carole Preuss (Louisville, Ky.), Leandra Tafel (Louisville, Ky.), Sarah Mastey (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and Katy Cremer (Hudson, Ohio). Mastey also had a team-high two assists.
