The Centre women's lacrosse team concluded their series of games at Disney's Wide World of Sports complex with a battle against New England College. The Colonels came away with a 14-6 victory.
The Colonels jumped out to a 10-2 lead at the half, and maintained the eight-goal cushion as they played New England evenly in the second half.
Freshman Jacqueline Anderson (Louisville, Ky.) had an outstanding game for Centre, contributing on 11 of the team's 14 goals, scoring eight goals and dishing out three assists.
Juniors Meg Hawthorne (Cary, N.C.) and Katy Cremer (Hudson, Ohio) each scored two goals for the Colonels while junior Sarah Mastey (Chattanooga, Tenn.) and sophomore Andrea Merchak (Lexington, Ky.) added one goal apiece. Mastey and freshman Sara Morency (Lowell, Mass.) each added one assist in the game as well.
Sophomore goalkeeper Allison Eisner (Louisville, Ky.) played all 60 minutes against New England, faced 20 shots and saved 14 of them.
The Colonels will be back at home on March 24th for a game against Division II opponent Shorter.
